I have no idea how this sauce got its name, but I Googled the ingredients several years ago and found the name and several sites saying it has been in use in England and Ireland on shrimp or prawns for years. I personally love it and made some yesterday to use on French fries. It seems to me to have a special affinity for shrimp and avocados.
