Right. Bruce Springsteen has had no real mainstream successful songs. That is, except for his fifteen top twenty singles, fourteen top ten albums (seven #1) and over 100 million records sold. "Born in the USA" sold over 14 million copies itself. He’s got 15 Grammys and an Academy Award. Imagine if he ever hit the mainstream?
I’ve been a huge fan of Bruce’s since the age of about 14 (that’s about 27 years). Aside from being (in my opinion of course) one of our greatest American songwriters, and THE greatest live performer in history…first and foremost he is a man of principle. The man stands up for those who cannot, and provides a voice for those who have none. I’ve never been prouder to be a fan.
And yes, I got my tickets this morning!
