My family actually has its own published cookbook, published first in 1994, then a second edition in 2005. It has recipes as diverse as Brazilian black bean stew from a cousin, Mexican Heartburn chili thanks to a nephew, and "Not Yo’ Mama’s Banana Pudding," from my sister. I could go on…My mother contributed her sour cream enchiladas, and Grandma finally gave up her oyster stuffing before she passed on.
