I haven’t tried some of these, particularly some of the new places, but here are ones I like from your list:
Ciola’s is excellent Italian.
Hudson’s on the Bend is known for their creative, great food. Haven’t been there in years, but it still has a great reputation.
Paggi House is an OLD, old Austin institution. A little pricey, but I’m told it still has good food. I don’t hear much about it "on the street" anymore, but everyone seems to talk about the new trendy places for the most part, so Paggi may still be good.
Mezzaluna is really good, and it’s downtown in the trendy "warehouse" district.
Johnny Fins and Shoreline Grill are supposed to have great fish, but I haven’t been to either.
Main Street Grill (if it’s the one in Round Rock) is EXCELLENT. My favorite place for an expensive meal (of course, I live in Round Rock, so it’s a short crawl home).
BerryHill Baja Grill is part of a small Texas chain based in Houston. I’ve had their fish tacos, and they were great.
One that is not on your list, but is in the same "class" as most of them, is a local place called ZTejas. Excellent, creative food.
