Okay, this is kind of goofy – but!!!

Anyone have roadfood or independent restaurants along I278 in Mableton, Smyrna, Powder Springs, Dallas, Rockmart, Cedartown in Georgia or Piedmont, Jacksonville, Weaver or Anniston in Alabama?

My son and I are bicycling the Silver Comet Trail in Georgia in sections, and then will hit the Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama in sections as well. We’ve been following up our rides with a run to 5 Guys, but I’m thinking it would be a lot nicer to check out independent restaurants or roadfood type places along the trail. Since the trail is part of the old Seaboard line and roughly parallels I278, there should be choices along the way.

So – any recommendations? We’re not spandex-wearing speedsters, were just regular folks out on our bikes trying to follow a rail-trail.
