okay, so I made some for the first time yesterday but I’m curious about something. Why don’t my cookies come out flat and not so thick when I bake them. I’ll admit I forgot to add the teaspoon of baking soda but it seems that every time I attempt to make cookies they are fat and puffy and have a cake like texture. what’s going on? I even roll them out into perfect little balls but they just don’t expand enough to be thin and with at least some crispiness. This is the only reason why I HATE to make cookies, I’d rather buy them because mine ALWAYS have a cake-like texture and I can’t stand them that way. Am I over beating, over stirring?? Not incorporated the mix enough? help!
