I have eaten BBQ all over the east coast, but have yet to have any Texas BBQ. To remedy this glaring whole in my culinary experience I have scheduled a visit with a friend of mine in Dallas. I will take a few side trips in search of the best of Texas BBQ.

Day 1: NJ to St. Louis
Miles: Too many to count
Roadfood: Ted Drewe’s
I spent the day driving too many miles in too many hours and driving through too many rain showers. As soon as I arrived in St. Louis I checked into my hotel and then headed to Ted Drewe’s for a concrete. This was my first concrete and I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful ice cream treat.
Next it was to "The Hill" for some beer and toasted ravioli at Rigazzi’s. At Rigazzi’s their signature is their "fishbowl" full of beer. This is an extremely lerge frozen schooner of beer. You can have any kind of beer you want as – as long as it is brewed by Annheuser Busch. After all this is St. Louis. Plus the toasted ravioli was served with their homemade meat sauce. I enjoyed both.
This is my first attempt at posting photos to the forums. As I get the hang of it, I will post more.
