Lately, I have been on a quest for a great sweet pickle. I realized I have not had a good sweet pickle in a long time. My sweet pickles have been Bick’s Sweet Mixed varienty but it seems the quality is slipping. I found some German sweet pickles but they weren’t crisp enough. Next, I tried Topor’s and they are good but not what I am looking for. I was on the phone to a friend in Florida, mentioned what I wanted, and he said try Lake Side Bread and Butter pickles http://www.lakesidepacking.com/lakeside/default.asp. Guess what? My friend, Don, knows sweet pickles. I found Lake Side Bread and Butter pickles at Zehrs in Windsor, Ontario and they are that good. Regards, Richard [:D]
