About 6-8 years ago Ziploc or one of the others started offering a very heavy duty, thick mil plastic bag using the pleated bottom much like the current pleated quart bags. These bags were so thick they could stand open on their own and promoted to be used as flexible containers for liquids such as soup. What happened to them? I just became the beneficiary to a case lot of damaged #10 cans of tomato sauce and was hoping to put up near quarts of pre-made pasta sauce. I can’t find these anywhere and looking at Ziploc’s website, I don’t see any mention either. They really hyped these on TV and magazine advertisements and seemed to be a very good idea rather then using plastic containers. Are these still around? Hard to tell around here with two chains that control the market and what gets shipped down here.
