There are so many threads on these forums that are describing what I think are just plain wrong regulations with regards to food safety and what you can or cannot serve. Now I’ve been gone from the states for a good many years, so I have no first hand experience with this, but I can tell you if I was being restricted with some of these rediculous regulations, I’d be up in arms!
Just reading one recent here where you can sell hot dogs, but not a bologna sandwich, which by most standards are the same emulsified meat, just in a different form of presentation.
Do you folks have no way to challenge these regulations???….a quote from a movie comes to mind:
I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore
I mean really, the majority of the world lives quite well without all the BS regulations you folks have to conform to, so wheres the justification for all this, it seems to me its totally up to a bunch of CYA bureaucrats.
I know your out of control litigations is a big part of this CYA approach, but don’t you all think something needs to change before everyone in a kitchen needs to be in a space suit?
I most likely think that if you raise a stink they will never leave you alone, which is a bigger reason to get up and start fighting these out of control regulations!
Anyway would be interested in why you all let this get so out of hand.
