So, here’s a drink I never heard of until someone mentioned it in a thread a long time ago. And I found myself enjoying vodka with ginger beer and lime. Of course, not knowing it had some specialized mug. Heavens!
Then, I’m told I’m drinking it wrong, and to buy some $40 copper cup. Which I never did. Then, much more recently, it became trendy. Or it IS trendy NOW. Bars sell it and have stocked up on the specialized copper cups.
But, I’m now noticing that Groupon, was selling a set (of 2 cups) for $20 (down from the normal 79.99). And I can’t help to think that when they start selling Moscow Mule mugs in bulk (they sold over 10,000 sets in a few minutes), it goes from trendy chic to suburban housemom.
So, is that the jump-the-shark moment for this craze?
