The Good Morning America show is going to do a piece on our beloved Jungle Jim’s International Market this Saturday morning 1/13/07.
Hopefully you will be able to see why people drive 100+ miles to shop there and why we Cincinnatians, wax poetic over what all they carry, from all over the world.

BY SUE KIESEWETTER | ENQUIRER CONTRIBUTOR
FAIRFIELD Viewers across America will get a glimpse of the exotic foods and persona of Jungle Jim Bonaminio Saturday when a Good Morning America crew broadcasts a live segment from Fairfield s Jungle Jim s International Market.
The store will be featured in a taped story about the greatest supermarkets in America. Either before or after the segment, GMA weekend correspondent Tiana Hernandez will be live from Jungle Jim s the only supermarket selected for a live broadcast.
The store will open its doors to shoppers at 6:30 a.m. in anticipation of the broadcast, scheduled to air during the hour-long show that airs from 7-8 a.m. on WCPO (Channel 9).
I want to invite all the foodies and TV lovers to come and join us and get their mugs on TV, said Sarah Kaufmann, creative services director for Jungle Jim s.
Only four or five supermarkets will be featured in the segment, says Bridgette Maney, ABC News publicist for GMA.
The store will open its doors to shoppers at 6:30 a.m. in anticipation of the broadcast, scheduled to begin any time after 7 a.m. This is pretty major for us, said Ed Carroll, general manager. I think it s an exciting opportunity for us to get even more notoriety than we already do and get a little national recognition.
About 3 million viewers typically watch GMA. The show s weekend news correspondent Tiana Hernandez and New York senior producer Eric Ortner, a camera crew and WCPO (Channel 9) satellite van will be at Jungle Jim s filming the live segment.
We do know they re focusing on our seafood department, Carroll said. They were here last Saturday and seemed fascinated by the live animals all the fish.
