Growing up, a friend of my mother’s, always gave us a fruit cake made mostly with raisins, a few candied fruits and no nuts. It was very moist, dark and almost all raisins, baked in an Angel Food cake type pan and delicious.

Both Mom and her friend have passed away and I would love to replicate this cake. Does anyone have a recipe that sounds like it would fit this description?

Thanks!

Conrad
