Last night I made a Greek beef stew with raisins in it and I realized how much I enjoy dishes with a combination of meat or poultry and fruit.
Muligatawny soup, chicken salad with grapes, pork roast with sinner stuffing (from the Sterns’ Square meals), beef brisket with Tsimmes, picadillo, Moroccan pairings of lamb, apricots and almonds are just a few that come to mind.
Do you like meat with fruit and if so, what are some memorable meals you have had with that combo and where?
