Any favorite fixer-uppers out there? To those (like me) who miss their Dallas Tex-Mex, and are broke, you can fix up the Banquet Beef Enchilada/Tamale Meal (usually less than a dollar) with some onion, (I add chopped black olive, too), some El Pato Jalapeno Salsa, and whatever cheese you like. Plus sour cream on the side for the beans. The Marie Callender Fettucini Alfredo (sometimes $1.49) is actually better than what they serve up at the restaurants, and just needs a little help with fresh ground pepper, shredded parmesan, and a few pepperoncini on the side. My favorite pizza topping at Campisi’s in Dallas is the salami, diced into squares about fingernail size. I will try this on a frozen unit and see what happens.
