Eddie was a big, big star in the 60’s. A really good voice and he sang romantic songs—-great for slow dancing.  And he himself was a very romantic guy—married Debbie Reynolds and Elizabeth Taylor—tough to beat that combo. 
 
There must be something women like about little, skinny singers. 
frank Sinatra and Eddie Fisher together probably didn’t weigh 200 pounds—–
they must have had something that women liked—-hummmmm
