In December I took a group of six people to the Fresno Chicken Pie Shop. That has been my go-to place for years and I looked forward to turning some new people on to the place. Alas, that was not to be. Service was spotty at best, with one guest’s order coming after almost everyone had finished eating. The pies had gone downhill———-little chicken and very small, more an appetizer portion than a main dish. The taste was also very bland. I was very disappointed overall, especially since it was embarrassing that I brought so many people and everyone seemed disappointed. The chili seemed straight out of a can. I guess this is one place in Central California that is now off my list.
