After long and careful research I have discovered why the Irish (my ancestors) live long and healthy lives (and happy ones as well).
—It is the famous Irish diet–a six pack and a potato (or two).
A potato has only 100 calories/45% of daily requirement of vitamin C/twice the potassium of a banana/3 grams of fiber/and NO (ZERO)cholesterol. And it is loaded with antioxidents.
Antioxidents are also plentiful in GUINNESS (and all dark beers).
Now if we consider beer is only food in a glass—-the only way to drink it by the way–tastes better—a few GUINNESS and a potato or two is a great dinner.
Then add a handful of peanuts for dessert and your set—peanuts have those same antitoxidents that fight off heart problems, plus lots of protien and the good old mono-unsaturated fat. SOOOOOO
