I have always said that when I come back I want to be able
to speak like Bill Buckley.

Not just speak like him, but think like him. He was my idol.
He would sit on the TV screen and listen to somebody, long since forgotten, ramble on for 5 minutes and then cut him to the quick in 10 words.

I remember him running for Mayor of NY in the 60s. It was all tongue in cheek because he stood no chance, but his ideas were right on—NYCity would be a much better place now if Bill Buckley’s ideas had been implamented.

RIP Bill and if you can, send me some of your brain power, wit and vocabulary. Just a little bit will do. RIP BILL
