I stopped at Sam’s Club for my usual bananas, pineapple and whatever on the way home from work today.
Whatever turned out to be Sadler’s Tender Split BBQ Brisket (6.47/lb).
Machine sliced in a cryovac package; I found a 4-lb. package that looked uniform, without much surface fat. Really not bad for a cooked, packaged product (from Henderson, TX). Smoke ring of about 1/4-inch, nice beef flavor. I split it up into 4 packages for the freezer, but put about 4 ounces in foil & heated it on the grill with tonight’s dinner. A good way to heat it up, but next time I’ll add some sauce to the packet (I like to make my own sauce).
In the wasteland of overpriced, mediocre BBQ that is NY, this is a reasonable facsimile.
