It’s been such a long time, I think I should be goin’…out to eat.
These are the only 2 photos I’ve taken since our Arizona trip in mid-March and The Contingent day in Algonquin and McHenry County on March 1, and they both pertain to our recent vacation in northern Wisconsin (where we wore our masks and kept socially distant). You weren’t expecting to read something about that bean-eating city out east, were you?😉
A roast beef, ham and Swiss melt from the Tomahawk Family Restaurant in Tomahawk. A good concept and certainly filling, but just a tiny bit dry.
Dave “I Used to be Famous” Anderson either owns or is a partner in Tamarack Farms Winery, located southeast of Hayward. They have a wood-burning pizza oven so we stopped in to give it a try; it was pretty good overall but I would’ve liked just a little less sweetness in the sauce and the pizza itself to be a bit more done. The sausage was very good, and the guy working the oven sure looked like he could’ve been Famous at one time…
I hope you enjoyed this flurry of RF forum activity!
A tad dry because “Melts” should have caramelized onions 🙂 Great to see you posting Brad. It’s a shame this place has become a dumpster fire.
