Thank you, Billyboy. Sadly, of course, I’m not traveling these days. I was supposed to be in Chicago this weekend for an ABA meeting, but we were compelled to meet virtually instead. At our first session yesterday, I was fascinated by how many of the attendees lamented that they weren’t able to be in Chicago to get their fix of their favorite foods: Gene & Georgetti, Lou Malnati, Giordano’s, and Garrett’s popcorn. For me, it was missing out on Firecakes donuts, Orange Garden Chinese on Irving Park, Hoosier Mama sugar cream pie, and Burdick’s chocolates (not native to Chicago, but still my favorite, and much closer to Minneapolis than Cambridge or New Hampshire) that saddened me the most.
I miss everyone and hope you all stay well, and that we can meet again on Roadfood or AT Roadfood!
