I’m not opposed to the idea, but I feel the problem with getting gift certificates for a later date means that the restaurant will not be getting the money at a later date. I have bought two $100 gift certificates for Hoosier Mama (go figure) but as I think about it, I don’t know what kind of margins these places work on, and if they get a rush over a couple of week period once they reopen with people coming in and only using gift certificates, that’s not going to good for them. I’m okay with the certificates or small donations.
