I thought I had posted the following sometime but I can’t find it: I was reading somewhere else about ad blockers and one poster said his identified 90 ads on one page of Serious Eats, not counting product placement ads. Mine doesn’t identify that many but SE has gone way down hill since Fexy bought it. There used to be fresh posts 7 days a week, now you get one per day, five days a week. I had been aware there seemed to be a lot more product oriented pieces, but hadn’t realized how many until I scrolled back through.
This is probably a hint about where they want to go with Roadfood.
The foodie media scene has sure changed a lot since the 20-aughts.
