Several web pages indicate Ms. Elan Mayhew at one time was (or possibly still is as an added responsibility) manager of Roadfood. Stephen Rushmore, Jr. was taking care of technical details before the sale. I am unclear of the details of Fexy’s “IT Department” that was mentioned several times. There is always the possibility that they quit (or were fired) after the migration, and Fexy is looking for new help. Again, all speculation.
I interpret the email that bbqboy posted as being the response to an executive escalation to Fexy management. As I speculated yesterday, I am not sure that Lisa is aware of the present condition of the message board. If you look at this page on Fexy’s brands:
they list “devoted fans” as a feature of the Roadfood website. It is the only brand that lists “devoted fans” (forum) as a feature, and I can confirm none of Fexy’s other sites presently have a message board. Right now, “angry mob” is more like it.

Note that the second forum on the list, CSS-Tricks, was closed down and is now read-only. The message boards all work. I don’t know how much the decorative plug-ins cost, but the bare-bones version Roadfood is running should work just as good as these decorative plug-ins IF YOU CONFIGURE IT CORRECTLY.
There are lots of Youtube videos that discuss the settings of bbPress. With most software today, documentation is very basic and you have to have the software running to be able to see all the things you can adjust on it.
I also think Cloudflare hosting and WordPress software now has features to thwart threats. I have run into glitches on other Cloudflare-hosted sites, apparently due to false positives. This may be the cause of some of the problems users are reporting.
