Thousand Island Dressing

Named for the Thousand Islands of upper New York State, where it originally was invented, this dressing is easy to create from refrigerator-door staples. "If you have ketchup, mayonnaise, relish, and maybe some chopped onions, you've got it made," Tom says. "I've even added ketchup to tartar sauce and pulled it off."

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 2 Servings
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp chili sauce
  • ¼ cup sweet relish
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • Mix the mayonnaise, chili sauce, relish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup together until incorporated. Store in a glass container in the refrigerator.
