Thousand Island Dressing
Named for the Thousand Islands of upper New York State, where it originally was invented, this dressing is easy to create from refrigerator-door staples. "If you have ketchup, mayonnaise, relish, and maybe some chopped onions, you've got it made," Tom says. "I've even added ketchup to tartar sauce and pulled it off."
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp chili sauce
- ¼ cup sweet relish
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp ketchup
Method
- Mix the mayonnaise, chili sauce, relish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup together until incorporated. Store in a glass container in the refrigerator.
