Falls Mills White Corn Grits

Loveless grits are ground Tennessee water-powered gristmill that has been in operation since 1873.

  • Prep Time:
  • Yield: 4 Servings
  • 1 cup grits
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • black pepper
  • Put the grits in a saucepan, cover with water, and stir. Light bran will float to the top.
  • Pour off the water and bran and then place 2 cups of water, the butter, and salt in saucepan and bring mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cook covered for 20 minutes, stirring until rich and creamy.
  • Season with black pepper to taste and enjoy!
