Egg in a House

Tom suggests this amusing presentation is especially good for children who don't want to eat their eggs in the morning.

  • Prep Time:
  • Yield: 2 Servings
Ingredients
  • 2 slices white or wheat bread
  • ¼ lb (1 stick) butter
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper
Method
  • Take a cookie cutter and core the middle of each slice of bread. Melt the butter and brush both sides of the bread slices with the butter.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the bread in the hot skillet. Pour the remaining butter equally in the bread holes. Crack an egg in each bread hole.
  • When the egg starts to harden and the bread browns, flip and continue to cook until the opposite side is browned or eggs are to your liking. Add salt and pepper to taste.
