Restaurants in Waynesboro, GA

If it’s 4:30am and you happen to be in Waynesboro (“Bird Dog Capital of the World”) with your setters, retrievers, or pointers in the truck, prepare to eat well. That’s when Taylor’s Bar-B-Que starts serving full-on southern style breakfast (grits, biscuits, streak o’lean, etc.). Later in the day, the things to eat are fried chicken, smothered pork chops, catfish, pot roast, etc. and, yes, some BBQ, which, despite the place’s name is second-fiddle on the menu. Waynesboro also happens to have a first-rate seafood restaurant (and market), Brown’s Quality Seafood, where frying is a fine art but you also can have just about anything on the menu steamed or broiled.
