Restaurants in Malibu, CA

Malibu is better-known for its celebrity citizens than its food, but there are a handful of places where both famous and normal people find good eats without pomp and circumstance. For yummy fish meals with an ocean view, Malibu Seafood is a market and restaurant with tables that overlook the Pacific. Best bets include steamed shrimp with breathtaking cocktail sauce, grilled snapper, and even top-quality sushi. Neptune’s Net is another seafood source, in this case a virtual shack along the Pacific Coast Highway, that’s been serving chowder, fish & chips, raw oysters, cracked crab, and plenty of beer since 1958. There’s barely a view of La Costa Beach from the tables of The Country Kitchen, but savvy eaters know it for excellent breakfast burritos at what is, for this part of the world, bargain-basement cost.
