Tortillas

Tortillas are thin, unleavened flatbread circles made of corn or wheat flour. An essential component of Tex-Mex meals, soft ones can be served on the side of an entree and used to dip and scoop food from the plate; or they may be part of the dish, as in enchiladas, burritos, and tacos. Baked crisp and made into triangular chips, corn tortillas are a favorite snack food – for dipping in salsa or guacamole or as the foundation for nachos.
