Southern Fried Chicken

There is no formal rule that differentiates southern fried chicken from fried chicken in general, but the geographic appellation remains widespread for the simple facts that there is more fried chicken in the South than in any other region, and, with rare exception, southern fried chicken tastes better than fried chicken elsewhere.
