Sheepherder’s Bread

Described by Roadfood correspondents Maggie Rosenberg and Trevor Hagstrom as “soft white bread that makes us think of artisan Wonder bread,” sheepherder’s bread is made in Bishop, California, at Erick Schat’s Bakery. The century-old recipe, producing “the gold standard of white bread,” is used by the on-premises deli to make sandwiches.
