Samosas

A samosa is a savory pastry pocket known in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, as well as in Latin America (in places it is not called an empanada). Its fillings can include potatoes, cheese, lentils, and lamb. One of the most impressive samosa dishes is the samosa chaat served in Indian restaurants, For this specialty, crunchy samosa dumplings, still warm, are partially smashed up at the bottom of the serving dish and topped with cool yogurt and sweet chutney that make every mouthful festive.
