Salsa

Salsa is a necessary condiment for numerous Mexican dishes as well as a dip for tortilla chips before the meal. Known as pico de gallo (“beak of the rooster”) when hot peppers are included, salsa’s defining ingredients are chopped tomatoes or tomatillos, onion, garlic, and usually cilantro.
