Peanut Butter Pie

Whether dense or frothy, silk-smooth or packed with nut crunch, peanut butter pie has an in-your-face personality. That’s why it is rare to find peanut butter pie that is only peanut butter filling on a pastry crust. Something else is needed to balance it: a crown of whipped cream or whipped topping with maybe a drizzle of chocolate syrup, a crust of grainy Graham crackers or crumbled Oreos, a vein of jelly running through the peanut butter.
