Peach Pie

California grows more peaches than any other state, but it’s in Georgia (“The Peach State”) and South Carolina (which produces more peaches than Georgia) where peach pie is at its best. While it can be made year around from canned or frozen fruit, the ideal time to enjoy it is in the summer, when ripe peaches provide flavor best described as sweetened sunshine.
