Different Cuts of Fries

Not all French fries are straight and hard-edged like miniature lumber. Curly fries look like a coiled spring. Waffle fries, aka lattice fries, offer a textural thrill. Potato skins are all-outside and very crunchy. Tornado fries – a state-fair delicacy – are a whole potato cut into an unbroken spiral, fried, and served on a long stick.
