Dessert

Several years ago Roadfood.com did a survey to find which dessert was most popular. Hands-down, pie won. Cake was second, followed by ice cream. Pudding, custard, cookies, Jell-O, and candy were far behind. Some parts of the country have their own favorites: banana pudding in the South; ice cream in New England; cream pies in the northern heartland and fruit pies farther south; berry pies in the Pacific Northwest; and pecan pies in Texas.
