Cuban Bread

Cuban bread looks like a French baguette, but it is lighter and more fragile. Its supple nature makes it the only proper bread for a Cuban sandwich, which is pressed flat as it gets heated in a plancha. Lightly toasted and warm enough to melt butter, Cuban bread is fundamental at breakfast tables in Florida’s Latin communities.
