Cruffin

A cruffin is one of a modern family of hybrid breakfast pastries that includes the likes of cronut, doscuit, crioche, and cragel. In this case it is croissant dough baked in a muffin tin, rising high above the rim in a flaky swirl. The dough is tender enough that it welcomes lightweight lodes of flavored pastry cream inside.
