The Country Dove Tea Room of Elk City, Oklahoma offers French silk pie, which is light chocolate filling under a crown of whipped cream, all perched atop a crust of crumbled pecan sandies. At Emporium Pies in Dallas, French pie’s foundation is a thin pretzel crust.
