Chocolate Pie

There are all kinds of chocolate pies: chocolate chess, bourbon chocolate pecan, even S’mores pie made on a Graham cracker crust and crowned with marshmallow fluff. The Monument Cafe of Georgetown, Texas, makes its extremely fudgy chocolate pie on a crust of crunchy toasted pecans. The Country Dove Tea Room of Elk City, Oklahoma offers French silk pie, which is light chocolate filling under a crown of whipped cream, all perched atop a crust of crumbled pecan sandies. At Emporium Pies in Dallas, French pie’s foundation is a thin pretzel crust.
