Chicken Tenders

Chicken tenders, also known as chicken fingers, are breaded and fried strips of boneless white meat. They’re an easy-to-eat snack or quick meal in and of themselves, but some restaurants get creative. The Root Cellar of Lexington, South Carolina, slices them into bite-sized pieces and includes them in a chef’s salad. In Manchester, New Hampshire, Puritan’s Back Room (one of two places that claims to have first served tenders, the other being in Savannah, Georgia) offers Buffalo tenders, spicy tenders, and coconut tenders.
