Chicken Satay
Satay means skewered and grilled meat served with a spicy peanut sauce. It’s a southeast Asian dish, found in most American Thai restaurants as well as in the eccentric Timmy’s Brown Bag, a sandwich shop in Placerville, California. At Timmy’s, the peanutty satay comes sandwiched in a bun along with sweet chili, harissa-cucumber slaw, curried Rice Krispies, and Key lime mayonnaise.
