Breakfast Burrito

Ingredients fall out of breakfast sandwiches and breakfast tacos, which is why a self-contained burrito makes such good breakfast sense. Eggs are fundamental; bacon, sausage, or chorizo are usually part of the picture, as is spicy salsa. Some breakfast burritos also contain a good measure of hash browns. In a few places, avocado is an option. Athenian Burger of California makes a “suicide burrito” that holds a full ration of all three major breakfast meats. Assuming it is being eaten at a table rather than hand-held, a breakfast burrito in New Mexico might come Christmas-style, meaning smothered with a duet of red and green chile, thus requiring a fork.
