Baklava

Layers of phyllo dough filled and smothered with chopped pistachios and honey, baklava is a dessert found in restaurants that serve Middle Eastern food. But it is not unique to them. The venerable Bright Star restaurant of Bessemer, Alabama, has created an amazing fusion dish known as baklava cheesecake: a shaft of cream-rich cheesecake enclosed in multi-layered baklava pastry.
