About Cuisine

A mid-south way of describing a menu that lists a choice of two or three meats (fried chicken, smothered steak, etc.) and about a dozen vegetables (yams, okras, greens, squash, macaroni and cheese, stewed tomatoes, etc.) For a set price, you choose one meat and three vegetables from the lists, and usually get a hunk of cornbread or a dinner roll on the side. True southern vegetable lovers get four or five vegetables and forgo the meat altogether.
