About Cuisine

Cleveland, Detroit, and Chicago are all well-known bastions of superb Hungarian food, but we have come across very good Hungarian restaurants in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, in Danbury, Connecticut, and in the Hill Country of Texas. The hallmarks of this cuisine are buttery little nockerli dumplings, chicken paprikash (made with Hungarian paprika), and goulash made with beef or pork. And fruit-filled crepes called palacinke for dessert.
