Thomas House is a small-town restaurant with stick-to-your-bones food, a favorite for thirty years. Lunch is cafeteria-style and dinner is regular restaurant style. The restaurant fronts on Main Street but the entrance is off the rear on Dingledine Lane. Parking is on both Dingledine and Main, with a short walkway from Main to the entrance.
The lunch features three or four different items each day with two sides, generally for around $7.00. For dinner, oysters, shrimp, and country ham are available. If you are lucky enough to come when pork BBQ is being served, be sure to get it. Oysters (fried) for the dinner meal are some of the best I have experienced. They are a must eat. A side that you don't want to miss is the macaroni and cheese. Pies are made in-house and are very good.
