Digest: Poulet Rôti
Posted by Michael Stern on Monday, December 16, 2013 6:12 AM

While poutine is the headliner, fried chicken is the unlikely star at Ti-Oui, a happy little snack bar at the bridge in St. Raymond, Quebec (201 avenue Saint-Jacques. 418-337-2921). It doesn't look like much, the crust merely a thin veil; but the meat within is shockingly moist and soft – especially the dark pieces.

Ti-Oui also is known for its poutine special, which adds a layer of ground beef and onion atop the French fries, gravy, and cheese curds. Pictured above is a full meal, with regular poutine.

I want to go to Quebec and eat this IMMEDIATELY.
